Learned on the willows
Older people's mental health service at Fulbourn Hospital.
Finding or rediscovering a hobby can make an incredible difference to a persons health and wellbeing, even more so when a person is experiencing a period of being unwell. A new hobby can be one of the first steps in a persons recovery journey and can last a lifetime. Head to Toe and the team on Willow Ward have supported patients to find a new love by funding recreation equipment such as a sewing machine, piano books and a projector room.
Ward manager Ian Winter said: "The grant has done wonders for our patients on the ward."
