I have been diagnosed as autistic

Post diagnostic support

For people diagnosed at the clinic, CLASS can offer some post-diagnostic support. Any offers will be available for up to 6 months after assessment. Your clinician will discuss the options with you. Post-diagnostic support may include:

  • Attendance at a psychoeducational group which will provide more information about autism, what this means and what can help with any difficulties.
  • An opportunity to meet with a clinician to help make sense of your diagnosis and to answer any questions you have about what this means for you next.
  • Access to leaflets and information about specific topics and access to our library of books about autism.

Autism Alert Cards and Autism Passports

You may wish to apply for an autism alert card or autism health passport. These can be used for a variety of reasons such as going to the GP or job centre. Please bear in mind that there is a small charge for some of the cards and you will need to pay for postage.
