VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) Influence and Partnership

The VCSE Influence and Participation Project (Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism) was set-up by the Manager in July 2023 who with Integrated Care System leads recruited the Project Board which was launched at a popular event in November 2023 that was well attended by system partners across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.People at the workshop meeting

The Manager and Board members have been working hard to connect with partners, contributing at all levels of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Integrated Care System and Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Partnership led Strategic Transformation Boards, Groups, Workstreams and workshops.

he Manager, Board and an increasing range of VCSE leads champion the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise sector and their thousands of beneficiaries through representation on and contribution to a wide range of programmes in pursuing and championing priorities with sector colleagues through:

  • Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Partnership Board
  • Strategic Transformation Partnerships and Delivery Boards of the Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Partnership, plus establishing the Community Transformation: Employment Sub-Group and contributing to Trauma Informed event planning for the System
  • All-age Autism Strategy and Learning Disability Long-term Improvement Programmes – contributing throughout the Programmes of workshops and future model development through the Workstreams
  • Older People Mental Health Workstreams – including a focus on people with Dementia and carers
  • Moving away from CPA (Care Programme Approach) for mental health
  • Relationships and Loneliness new group membership and other Public Health (Joint Strategic) Needs Assessment participation for all-age mental health and learning disability JSNAs
  • Work, Health and Wellbeing Strategy Group including contributing to the Workwell modelling and hub provider selection
  • Palliative and end of life care for people with a Learning Disability - contributing to learning and improvement modelling in light of LeDeR reviews particularly
  • Cambridgeshire County Council Provider Framework Fora
  • Suicide Prevention and Hoarding Cambridgeshire and Peterborough groups
  • Cambridge Mayor’s Colleges and Charities launch event
  • Integrated Neighbourhood and other Place Based Boards and local System-wide launches, workshops and events including those local health and employment focused
  • Voluntary Sector Network, Fullscope, CMHN, NAILCAP, STEnG and the broader sector of consortia and fora membership, meetings and events.

  The Manager and Board are constantly expanding their networking and connected approach to ensuring that the VCSE sector is at the heart of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Integrated Care System, most specifically those hundreds of charities with beneficiaries with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and/or are neurodiverse and carers to improve the lives, choices and opportunities of our local residents.
