What we do
Working with specialist NHS physical, mental health and social care teams, we listen to staff and patients to fund or run projects that go above and beyond NHS care and treatment.
We work with teams across 50 locations including Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, Wisbech and Peterborough. We do this by funding projects that improve patient experience, including:
- Creative therapies – art, music, and drama sessions for people of all ages
- Sensory therapies – we have created dedicated sensory rooms for people of all ages in CPFT treatment centres across the region. We also provide sensory packages for patients to use at home or in clinic too.
- Innovative equipment – new technology such as specialised tablets or virtual reality headsets that can be used for exciting new ways to treat patients
We have four key areas that we prioritise
Priority 1 : We will enhance health experiences for children and young people by improving their mental and physical wellbeing and supporting NHS care.
Priority 2: We will provide additional support for the most vulnerable people in our community, at a time they need us most.
Priority 3: We will empower our community, by delivering health and wellbeing interventions above and beyond NHS care, through social and creative therapies, the outdoors, and fellowship.
Priority 4: We will invest in our NHS staff and their ideas, to nurture, inspire and support them to be happy and healthy in their workplace and in delivering the best patient care.
