How our service can help you
The service is for residents of HMP/YOI Peterborough with a mental health issue that needs assessment or treatment by the team. Support can include the following:
- CPA assessments and care coordination to manage new and long-standing mental health issues
- Physical health checks and medication reviews/commencement
- One-to-one specialist intervention, including psychological intervention
- Risk assessment and management plans
- Substance misuse work
- Structured psychological interventions
- Active monitoring, guided self-help and psycho-education
- Relapse prevention and discharge planning as part of a multi-agency care team.

Referral Information

The service is open to residents of HMP/YOI Peterborough deemed to have a mental health issue that warrants assessment or treatment by the team.
The teams works with both primary care mental health needs, (a psychological well-being service similiar to IAPT) and secondary Mmntal Hhalth needs, (CPA) and any member of staff in the prison can refer. The team also takes referrals from Liaison & Diversion, community teams, GPs and other prison mental health teams.

Yes, our clinical bases are accessible. Please ring the team before your appointment to discuss any requirements.
How to cancel your appointment

Appointments can be cancelled via an appointment return slip or by asking a member of staff, normally an officer to contact the team.
