How our service can help you
The Windsor Research Unit is part of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, offering specialist facilities for running research studies and clinical trials in neurodegenerative conditions (like Alzheimers disease), mental health, physical health, genetic conditions and
Covid-19.
Our expert team of health professionals and researchers run a range of projects you can choose to take part in, to learn more about conditions and help test new treatments and therapies. Research visits are offered at the Unit or at home, with some scans and tests taking place at nearby hospital sites. The team works with regional, national and international organisations to deliver research with care and bring the latest advances in healthcare, treatments and technology to NHS patients at CPFT. Currently, the team is delivering urgent public health research to find effective treatments and vaccines for Covid-19, working with the NHS and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

Carers Information
-
A carer is anyone, including children and adults who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid.
At Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, we value the often life-long support carers provide and recognise them as equal care partners. We want to offer as much guidance and reassurance as possible, to help you in your caring role. You can find general information and support for adult carers, young carers and parent carers by following this link.
