Ward S3 Adult Eating Disorder Service

How our service can help you

S3 is a 14 bedded inpatient facility of which 12 beds are commissioned by NHS England Specialist Commissioning. It is the only adult NHS specialist eating disorder unit in the East of England. It caters for adults over 18 years of age who have a diagnosed eating disorder and have been assessed as being at high risk due severity of their illness. The ward provides individual intensive support for weight restoration, education and psychological interventions. The ward works closely with regional community eating disorder teams who are gatekeepers of inpatient referrals and uses a multidisciplinary approach.

At Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, we value the often life-long support carers provide and recognise them as equal care partners. We want to offer as much guidance and reassurance as possible, to help you in your caring role.
