Trust hosts the ultimate 'tree party'

Staff and patients came together at Fulbourn recently to help in a special tree-planting event to celebrate National Tree Week.

Chief Executive Anna Hills joined colleagues outside the Resource Centre to start planting the first of more than 100 tree saplings that will be grown across the site.

Piotr Wala, from CPFT's Estates and Facilities Team, said: "The trees have been kindly donated by NHS Forest and the event was organised by our Waste and Sustainability Manager David Tucker. We really wanted to make this a positive wellbeing event for staff and patients alike.

"We have received 100 tree saplings consisting of crab apple, dog rose, dogwood, hawthorn, and hazel varieties which we plan to plant along the entrance road to Fulbourn Hospital. This initiative will create a friendly and even greener space for our patients and staff to enjoy."
