Psychological Medicine team nominated for four awards

CPFT's Paediatric Psychological Medicine Team, based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, have been nominated for four awards in the annual Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) Awards 2024.

The team helps children, young people and their families with expert psychological support when the young person is diagnosed with a life-limiting or chronic physical illness. They received two nominations in the 'Kind' category (committed to care and compassion) for their work in Liaison Psychiatry and in Ophthalmology.

The team was nominated in the 'Excellent' category (delivering improvement for patients and each other) for psychology in the Cleft Lip and Palate Service.

And their final nomination was in the 'Together' category (promoting team work, collaboration and inclusion) for delivering and embedding clinical supervision training.

Team Manager Rob Bode said: "It is an honour to receive these nominations and we feel it speaks to the close partnership working that, even as CPFT employees, we are seen by colleagues, patients and families alike as members of the CUH family."

The awards ceremony takes place in November.
