Call for experienced innovators to join Adopters' Network

Help to build the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adopting Innovation Hub

Spreading innovation within the NHS is challenging, but our experience tells us that working alongside citizens and staff really helps.

In June 2021, we were delighted to be awarded a grant by the Health Foundation Adopting Innovation programme to host the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adopting Innovation Hub. Selected as one of four hubs in the UK, we will work across the system in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to apply new innovations to the most pressing problems we face and improve health outcomes for all.

Why join the Adopters’ Network?

This is a great opportunity to create a new way of implementing innovation in our vibrant life sciences and health and care ecosystem. We need early adopters with experience of delivering innovations ahead of the curve and acting as a pioneer for new ground-breaking solutions.

The Adopters’ Network will inform the strategic direction of the innovation hub. It will draw on the experience of those who are already innovating across the system to help identify and learn from opportunities and barriers that they have encountered.

As part of this network, you will help to design the innovation hub from the ground up and will provide invaluable peer support and guidance to implementation projects on the frontline.
The network will also provide a forum to connect and learn alongside like-minded peers, and access the hub's educational resources.

What does this role involve?

As a member of the Adopters’ Network, you will share your experiences in workshops with peers and the hub team and help to drive change across the region. You will be asked to buddy up with a frontline implementation project to support the successful delivery of chosen innovations.
These innovations will be selected on the basis of their potential to address our local health inequalities. You will be expected to contribute approximately 4 – 8 hours a month to the Network.

About you

You will have experience of implementing innovations in frontline health and care services.
We are looking for a mixed group of innovators from health professionals, practitioners, transformation experts, academics and entrepreneurs.
